Kerry Plowright - Managing Director
Kerry Plowright is the Managing Director of EWN. Kerry was previously an Army
Officer before share farming in Central Queensland and then becoming involved in
marketing and sales, Plowright has significant experience in the pursuit of
meaningful social outcome. One of the original wildlife warriors, Kerry
orchestrated, financed and managed numerous pro-active conservation efforts.
During the first Gulf War Kerry flew a wildlife rescue team into Kuwait aboard
US Marine helicopters as the Iraqi army fled north. This effort was in a bid to
protect critically endangered estuary habitat threatened by oil slicks.
Navigating terrain sewed with mines and cluster bombs he and his team
successfully sourced and deployed oil booms across river mouths and harbour
entrances protecting sensitive and endangered habitat
In 1996 Kerry founded the ezimerchant business and was the first to offer an
affordable, packaged ecommerce solution to small and medium business. Since then
Kerry has helped thousands of business make hundreds of millions of dollars on
the Internet and is arguably Australia's leading authority on small business and
the Internet. Kerry recently sold the ezimerchant business which is now the most
widely used solution in Australia in addition to being sold in Japan, the USA

Peter Fletcher - Business Development Manager
Peter has worked in varied roles in large corporations over the past 30 years, including Property Manager and Assistant Branch manager roles in the Commonwealth Bank, Sales Team Manager in Telstra, and more recently as an ICT Program and Project Manager in Brisbane City Council.
Peter has undertaken further study during this time to attain Diplomas in Information Technology and Project Management as well as ITIL and Prince2 Foundation certifications. He is also an active member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
Peter has strong, proven management skills and is self motivated with a record of delivering results in complex environments, through a combination of excellent communication and client management skills, coupled with analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities.
Peter recently joined the Early Warning Network to pursue his interest in emergency management and community safety and to become part of the leading Severe Weather Alerting service available in Australia today.

Michael Bath - National Operations Manager
Michael worked in the information technology sector in Sydney for 10 years after completing tertiary education at the Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education (now Southern Cross University), Lismore. A career switch to media monitoring began after his family relocated back to the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
Michael is a self taught severe weather meteorologist. Studying floods and severe thunderstorms and weather photography are a passion that has continued for over two decades. He is the founding president of the Australian Severe Weather Association, a Bureau of Meteorology storm spotter and volunteer member with the Richmond Tweed Division State Emergency Service based in Lismore.
The opportunity to be part of the EWN team arose in late 2007. As national operations manager, Michael is responsible for the setup and issue of severe weather alerts, maintaining parts of the website, client administration, system analysis, development and testing.
