Watch and Act - Clear Range fire (Snowy Monaro LGA)

A number of fires are burning near Michelago and Bredbo. These have started as a result of the Orroral Valley fire in the ACT. These fires are more than 10,800 hectares in size and are out of control.

Current Situation

A number of spot fires started as a result of the Orroral Valley bush fire in the ACT. These fires have merged and continue to burn.
North Easterly winds have increased and as a result so has fire activity.
The fire is burning in a south westerly direction towards the Shannons Flat Rd
Monaro Highway remains open at this stage.
The Calabash fire is burning to the east of this fire.

Be alert for embers and spot fires.
Monitor the conditions.
Know what you will do if the fire threatens.
Colinton and Michelago

Fire activity has eased.
