Watch and Act - Erskine Creek Fire (Blue Mountains LGA)

A bush fire is burning to the south of Wentworth Falls. The fire is more than 20,400 hectares in size and is being controlled.

Current Situation

The fire is burning to the south of Woodford in an easterly direction.
The Erskine Creek Fire is burning north of Lake Burragorang and has spread from the Green Wattle Creek Fire.
Aircraft are supporting firefighters to slow the spread of the fire.
There are currently no threats to property.
The fire is producing a large amount of smoke visible from across the Blue Mountains. Only call triple zero for unattended fires.
Thunderstorms and a south easterly wind change are expected over the coming hours.
Advice

If you are in the areas of Wentworth Falls, Lawson, Hazelbrook, Woodford and surrounds monitor the conditions.
Know what you will do if the fire threatens.
