Watch and Act - Liberation Trail (includes former Shultz Road Fire, Clarence Valley LGA)

A bush fire is burning in the Chaelundi State Forest and Marara State Forest, west of Nymboida. The fire has burnt more than 89,700 hectares and is out of control.

Current Situation

Conditions on the fireground are benign. Firefighters are on scene protecting property.

The fire is burning in the Chaelundi State Forest, Ellis State Forest and Marara State Forest, west of Nymbodia and south of the Boyd River.

Advice

If you are in the area of Old Glen Innes Road, Chambigne, or Armidale Road, Coutts Crossing, monitor conditions.

Watch out for spot fires which may start ahead of the main fire front.
