DAMAGING WINDS FOR ALPINE PEAKS

Weather Situation

A cold front passing over the southeastern Australia will bring gales to Alpine peaks overnight and on Tuesday.

DAMAGING WINDS with peak gusts of 125 km/h are forecast for parts of the Snowy Mountains forecast district above 1900 metres.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
Keep clear of fallen power lines.
