Weather Situation

Hot and dry conditions, due to a strong upper ridge, will combine with fresh easterly winds to result in Severe fire dangers for the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders districts on Sunday.

Locally Severe fire dangers are also expected for forested parts of the Darling Downs and Granite Belt and eastern Maranoa and Warrego districts, as a fresh easterly wind change moves across the region though the afternoon.

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders and Central Highlands and Coalfields
