Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Highlands and Coalfields,
Central West, Channel Country, Capricornia, Maranoa and Warrego,
Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast Forecast
Districts.

Damaging winds now considered a threat over the Wide Bay and
Burnett. Redevelopment likely over the Southeast Coast later
tonight.
Weather Situation: A very humid and unstable airmass sits over the
majority of the state, with high levels of moisture extending deep
into the upper atmosphere ahead of a trough of low pressure moving
across the southwest. Thunderstorms are expected to be relatively
slow-moving, and persist into the evening.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and
heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next
several hours in the Wide Bay and Burnett and parts of the Central
Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Channel Country,
Capricornia, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt
and Southeast Coast districts. Locations which may be affected
include Dalby, Maroochydore, Roma, Charleville, Gympie, Bundaberg
and Kingaroy.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the
North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields and Upper
Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Highlands and
Coalfields, Central West and Channel Country districts. Locations
which may be affected include Charters Towers, Hughenden, Richmond,
Pentland, Einasleigh and Stamford.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Gulf Country
district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

pm)
Hillcrest (Southeast Coast) recorded 51 mm in 30 min (around 3
pm)
Pomona (Southeast Coast) recorded 73 mm in the 30 minutes to 5
pm.
Black Mountain (Southeast Coast) recorded 67 mm in the 30 minutes
to 5 pm.
Cooroy (Southeast Coast) recorded 63 mm in the 30 minutes to 5
pm.
Nearum Rd Alert near Gin Gin recorded 69 mm in the 1 hour to 5.24
pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
