Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Moomba, Innamincka, Arkaroola, Mungeranie on the Birdsville Track and the Strzelecki Track south of Moomba.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Flinders district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

Note a Flood Watch is also current. Rainfall totals are expected to be in the range 10 to 60 mm.

At around 5pm today, Marree recorded a wind gust to 98 km/h and around 27mm of rain in 30 minutes.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
