Heavy rainfall possible with thunderstorms,
Weather Situation: A warm and humid airmass, together with an
upper trough moving across the State leading to the development of
severe thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Murray Bridge,
Lameroo, Karoonda, Blanchetown, Mannum and Tailem Bend.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Adelaide
Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges and Mid North districts and the
warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
Tarcoola recorded a 113 km/h wind gust at 6:17 pm.
Cultana recorded a 93 km/h wind gust at 9.50 pm.
Port Augusta recorded an 85 km/h wind gust at 10.00 pm.
Tarnma recorded 27 mm of rainfall in the 30 minutes to 12:15
am.
Ingle Farm recorded 20 mm of rainfall in the 30 minutes to 12:35
am.
Lenswood recorded 22 mm of rainfall in the 30 minutes to 1:15
am.
Balhannah recorded 25 mm of rainfall in the 30 minutes to 1:30
am.
There were numerous reports of flash flooding across the northern
suburbs of Adelaide, especially in the area between Munno Para West
and Craigmore.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
