The threat for severe storms increasing from Emu Junction down
through Ceduna and Elliston.
Weather Situation: A warm and humid airmass over the state,
together with an upper trough moving across the Great Australian
Bight today will lead to the development of severe thunderstorms
this afternoon.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large
hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over
the next several hours in parts of the West Coast and North West
Pastoral districts. Locations which may be affected include Ceduna,
Tarcoola, Streaky Bay and the area around Emu Junction.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and

several hours in the Riverland and parts of the Murraylands
districts. Locations which may be affected include Renmark,
Waikerie, Loxton, Berri and Blanchetown.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the
Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East districts.
Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Naracoorte,
Lameroo, Bordertown, Keith, Millicent and Lucindale.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Mid North
district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
