A cold front crossing the Southern Ocean is moving rapidly eastwards and will pass the southeast of South Australia during this evening.

Damaging winds, averaging 60-70 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, are forecast about coastal parts of the Lower South East district during this evening.

Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Robe and Millicent.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
