Windy ahead of a cold front on Saturday

Weather Situation: Fresh to strong and locally damaging winds are expected to develop over southern parts of the State ahead of a cold front on Saturday.
Locally damaging north to northwesterly winds averaging 50-65 km/h at times with peak gusts around 90 km/h, are forecast to develop over the warning area ahead of a cold front on Saturday morning.

Squally showers are expected over western and southern coastal parts of the warning area near the front which may also produce localised damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h.
While it will be windy at times in Adelaide during Saturday morning and early afternoon, the metropolitan area is not expected to see damaging winds.

Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Mount Gambier, Maitland, Kingscote, Elliston, Cleve, Victor Harbor, Kadina, Port Wakefield and Robe.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
