Flood Watch Number: 2
Minor flooding possible from Monday afternoon.
Persistent moist onshore wind flow. Rain with chance of
thunderstorms are likely leading to possible heavy falls. The
highest rainfall totals are likely about elevated areas in the
North East.
Catchments in the North East are moderately wet. In the 24 hours
to 9:00 am Monday rainfall totals of 5 to 20 mm have been recorded
in the flood watch area with higher isolated totals of 82 mm at
Gray and 47 mm at St Patricks Head.
Rainfall totals of 30-60 mm are forecast for the remainder of
Monday into Tuesday with higher isolated totals of 80-100 possible
at elevated areas.
River rises are expected and minor flooding may develop from
Tuesday afternoon. Localised flooding is also possible in areas
that receive heavy rainfall from Monday afternoon.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Macquarie River
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
Ringarooma River
