Isolated minor flooding may develop in the North Esk and South Esk catchments during Wednesday.

A trough will cross Tasmania during Tuesday, bringing rain and isolated thunderstorms across the north. A developing low pressure system will bring further rainfall to the north east during Wednesday.

Catchments are relatively dry to very dry.

Rainfall totals of 10-20 mm are forecast in the north during Tuesday, with isolated higher totals up to 30 mm possible in elevated areas. Further rainfall totals of 20-30 mm are forecast in the north east for Wednesday, mainly in the morning.

River rises are expected in the North Esk, Nile and upper South Esk. Isolated minor flooding is possible from Wednesday morning.
