Isolated minor flooding may develop in the North West, North and North East catchments from Wednesday evening.

A cold front will cross Tasmania during Wednesday.

Catchments are becoming wetter due to recent rainfall. In the past 48 hours, rainfall totals of around 25-50 mm in the North West and 10-40 mm in the North and North East have been recorded. River rises are occurring as a result of recent rainfall.

A band of rain will cross the state during Wednesday, with widespread totals of 20-35 mm expected in the North West and 15-25 mm in the North and North East. Isolated higher totals up to 40 mm are possible in elevated areas.

Renewed rises are expected and isolated minor flooding may develop as a result of the forecast rainfall.

Catchment specific warnings will be issued and updated when required.

North Esk River

South Esk River

Meander River

Macquarie River

Mersey River
