Severe thunderstorms have developed in the far east near the NSW border.

Weather Situation: Severe thunderstorms have developed in a unstable airmass near the NSW border and are moving to the east and will likely contract into NSW before midnight.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Danggali Conservation Park.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
