For people in West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and parts of Eastern Eyre Peninsula and North West Pastoral districts.

Damaging winds are possible about western parts of the State during Thursday morning and afternoon.

Weather Situation: Strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds are expected ahead of a front crossing the WA/SA border this morning before reaching Eyre Peninsula in the evening.

DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, are forecast in the warning area this morning and afternoon, with the risk easing in the late afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms are also possible across much of the west of the State. A separate Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued for these areas if required.

Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Ceduna, Wudinna, Elliston, Cleve and Nullarbor.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
