MINOR FLOODING LIKELY, WITH ISOLATED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE
ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FOR THE REMAINDER OF SUNDAY INTO
MONDAY
A low pressure system to the west of Tasmania has brought heavy
rainfall to eastern and northern Tasmania overnight, with further
showers expected to develop across northern Tasmania on sunday
afternoon and evening.
This additional rainfall may cause increased river level flows
across northern catchments.
Catchments across Tasmania are relatively wet following recent
rainfall, and catchments may react quickly to further
rainfall.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected across the Flood Watch
area, with higher rainfall totals possible particularly about
elevated locations.
Minor flooding is likely throughout the Flood Watch area from
Sunday, with isolated moderate flooding possible.

Meander River
Macquarie River
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
Ringarooma River
North Coastal Rivers
Tamar (Launceston)
Mersey River
Forth River
Northwest and Central Coastal Rivers
Arthur River
Nelson Bay Coastal Rivers
Pieman River
Flood Warnings are current for the North and South Esk Rivers, the
River Ouse and the River Clyde.Flooding is no longer expected along
the River Derwent and the Jordan and Coal River, East Coastal
Rivers south of Bicheno and the South East.

flooding and is NOT a Flood Warning. The Bureau of Meteorology does
