Watch and Act - Industrial Fire - Stay Indoors

This Watch & Act message is for Colac between Hesse St and Barongarook Creek Reserve.

There is a garbage truck fire at the corner of Calvert St and Queen St, Colac.
Dangerous smoke is coming from the truck as firefighters are pulling apart the load to extinguish it.
Anyone located in Colac between Fyans St, Hesse St, Pollack St and Barongarook Creek Reserve should take shelter indoors immediately.
What you should do:
Close all exterior doors and windows. Close vents and ensure heating and cooling systems are turned off.
If you are away from home do not return.
Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
Impacts in your area:
The roads in the immediate area of Calvert Street and Queen Street are closed.
Emergency services will remain in the area.
