FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS GREENOUGH AND IRWIN RIVERS
A rain band will affect west-central Western Australia during
Thursday and
Friday, as a humid airmass interacts with a broad upper-level
trough. This is
forecast to generate widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall
over the
flood watch area.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday, no significant rainfall
totals have been
recorded over the flood watch area, although the catchment is
moderately wet.
Widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall is likely to cause
flooding in
the flood watch area. Secondary roads are likely to be disrupted
and some
communities and localities may become isolated by road.
Dangerous flood waters may develop rapidly.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Greenough River Minor flooding
